Each dollhouse selection also earned rave reviews from other buyers. They were standouts for their popularity and unique features that promote fun, imaginative play and learning for kids. We selected these dollhouses after speaking with experts in their respective fields and interviewing fellow parents to discover what dollhouses are best.

Seafood Japchae Noodles

The Little People Friends Together Playhouse is made of sturdy plastic and boasts interactive lights and sounds. The set includes furniture, accessories and three Little People figures. This isn't your traditional dollhouse, it's a home for pirates.

L. A. Kalbi Short Rib BBQ

There are a wide variety of dollhouses out there, and not all of them are of a quality fit for your child (or yourself). That's why we've put in the work to find out which ones are worth the investment. This is a list of the best dollhouses you can get right now. Whether you decide on a dollhouse that’s made of a harder plastic or wood, the materials you select are largely based on preference. However, it’s important to note that young children are constantly touching and manipulating the features and accessories of a dollhouse. With that in mind, choose dollhouses and components that are designed with safety and longevity in mind, easy to clean and made with nontoxic, sturdy elements like sustainable wood and child-safe paints.

Melissa & Doug Fold And Go Wooden Dollhouse

Pork, potato, carrot and onions in a special black bean gravy. Clam, shrimp, mussels and calamari in a seafood broth with wheat noodles. Sweet potato noodles sauteed with vegetables, shiitake and beef. Are you a vegetarian, frustrated by most restaurant menus?

The Pièce De Résistance Of The Playroom

Buckwheat noodles in a spicy paste with sliced radish, cucumber, hard boiled egg and sliced beef. Baby spinach, zucchini, radish, shiitake, royal fern, carrot with shredded beef and egg over rice. Dollhouses will forever hold a special place in our hearts. From unique to traditional, there’s a house for everyone and these are our favorites right now.

This location had previously been Korean restaurants Dasiwa II, Kimchi before that, and has been Korean restaurants dating back to the early 1990s! So, it only makes sense that it becomes a new Korean restaurant, one with staying power and a solid reputation in South Jersey. Served with japchae noodles, salad and choice of white or brown rice. Thinly sliced boneless pork BBQ with tangy kimchee and firm tofu. Sweet potato vermicelli glass noodles with vegetables and shredded beef.

An Inspiring Play Set For Kids Who Want To Save The Day

We paired this input with our own expertise as seasoned parenting writers and moms (with dollhouse-aged kids) ourselves. Now housed at the Powerhouse Museum in Australia, the Bosdyk Dolls House was created by Frans and Christina Bosdyk in the grand tradition of 17th century Dutch dollhouses. The five-level, 20-room house took about a decade to create, and incorporates elements from Dutch and Australian life from the 19th and early 20th centuries.

At Dolsot House we offer fresh, wholesome, healthy food that is both healthy and exciting. It is served family style, with side dishes (“banchan”), so everyone can have his or her own combination of textures and flavors. We want you to have a unique, healthy, satisfying cultural dining experience.

It’s a great action and rescue-themed alternative to standard dollhouses. If you’re purchasing a large dollhouse like many of the selections highlighted on our list, choose one that you like looking at daily. “Since they do take up a bit of space, it’s great when a dollhouse can work as part of the décor of a larger room,” the Coffees advise.

The Chelsea Cottage's bright colors and sturdy pieces are great for younger kids. Kids who are fascinated by police officers and firemen get to create stories and scenarios for these everyday heroes with this engaging wooden play set. The three-story backdrop invites kids ages 3 and up to use the 26 accessories in a variety of settings among 12 themed rooms. The helicopter can land on the helipad, and the fireman can make a daring rescue by way of the roof-to-floor fire pole. The firefighter and police officer have bendable arms and legs—all the better to perch on their motorcycle and drive their fire truck.

With the release of the hit new Barbie movie earlier this year, there’s no hotter toy than this decked-out, three-story Dreamhouse, which has been completely updated for 2023. Barbie and her friends can move throughout 10 different indoor and outdoor play areas, and kids can use the 75 included storytelling pieces to customize playtime. Elsa, Cinderella, Belle and the rest of the Disney princesses will feel right at home in the Ultimate Celebration Castle. The three-story castle-themed dollhouse stands 4 feet tall and contains furniture and accessories fit for royal dolls. Kids will love the "fireworks" light show and music (parents might not). Target's Hearth & Hand line features a beautiful wooden treehouse that's a perfect hangout for dolls.

Etsy also has some of the cutest wallpaper sets and sticker decals to convert it into a charming cottage, police station, fire station and more. Once they grow out of it, use it as a wall shelf to display pictures, books and knick knacks. This simple wooden cottage from Melissa & Doug is a great intro to the world of dollhouse play, and the intro price is right, too. Kids can pack the included 11 pieces of sturdy furniture and two little dolls inside, and the bubblegum-pink house folds up for easy transport or storage. This stunning handmade dollhouse by a Michigan-based toymaker is sure to be passed down for generations for its heirloom quality and timeless appeal.

If you're looking for a whimsical little abode, look no further than the Maileg Castle Dollhouse. A tasteful three-story tower, this is the perfect spot to house little stuffed Maileg mice (or other small dolls) for fairy-tale play. The only downside to the castle is that accessories aren't included. The Forbes Vetted team has extensive experience researching, reviewing and testing toys—dollhouses included—for quality, safety, engagement and educational value.

Author Beth Shea is a mom and parenting writer whose work has been published by Mom.com, Tinybeans, Cubby and Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine. Co-author Elizabeth Mitchell Kadar has written for SheKnows, Motherly and Good Housekeeping, in addition to being a mother of three. The Little People Play House is suitable for even the youngest dollhouse aficionados. Designed for kids ages 1- to 5-years-old, this interactive, electronic set plays over 80 songs, sounds and phrases to help little ones learn fundamentals like the alphabet and counting through play. The three included figures can play in the house or venture to the outdoor patio for a dip in the pool or to ride the tree swing.

It comfortably fits 12-inch dolls and includes nearly 50 pieces of vibrant furniture to furnish the home. With a rolling base, it can easily be wheeled from one room to the next, spun around or moved out of the way for cleaning. Your child’s favorite 12-inch dolls (roughly the height of a Barbie) feel right at home in this customizable dollhouse that features one, two or three levels of play.

But our research found that the overwhelming majority of law enforcement agencies using a Lexipol manual — 90% — largely adopted the company’s eyewitness identification policy as written. Compounding the problem is Lexipol, a for-profit company that produces most California police departments’ policy manuals. The company created an eyewitness identification policy that wrongly downplays or misrepresents law enforcement’s obligations. Dozens of people across California have been wrongly convicted of crimes largely because of law enforcement officers’ flawed handling of eyewitness evidence.

For instance, throughout Lexipol’s eyewitness identification policy, the law’s uses of the word “shall” are replaced with “should,” suggesting the required practices are discretionary rather than mandatory. Lexipol’s policy also wrongly implies that witness’ identifications don’t always have to be recorded. Investigators believe Hunter was intoxicated at the time of the incident, according to a law enforcement source not authorized to speak publicly about the ongoing case. Duah described her son as a “very kind and loving person” whose life had become unwound by drug use and his time in prison. She repeatedly insisted her son had no idea he had entered the mayor’s house. Investigators have not discussed a motive for the break-in. The reason the cruise line hires crew from poor countires is to avoid labor laws so they can work the crew like animals and pay them very little. I will no longer be supporting a franchise that exploits people. Follow up on your complaint regularly, politely seeking updates and a timeline for resolution.

Premium Air (Customised Air Arrangements)

I regret to say that my experience with this cruise line was deeply disappointing. The crew's attitude was consistently poor, with minimal effort to provide satisfactory service. Most facilities, including the bar and common areas, were inexplicably closed for the majority of the voyage. While the food was passable, it failed to make up for the overall lack of quality service. Glad I know now and will never step on this cheap cruise line again. Start by gathering all the necessary information related to your issue.

Technical Support

It’s important to remember that not all complaints will have the same outcome, but being assertive and organized will help you present your case effectively. Norwegian is fully committed to providing you and your travel companions with the best cruise experience. Guests requiring special accommodations must fill out the Guest Special Needs Request Form. This form helps us understand your disability and/or special needs requirements to adapt your cruise with personalised accommodations. Once you have submitted the form, Norwegian Cruise Line Access Desk will respond within 72 hours.

International Travel Partners / General Sales Agents

The only thing that we did not appreciate is how their employees were being exploited. I noticed fairly quickly that all the servers, attendees cooks, housekeepers were from very poor countries. The only white faces who were part of the crew was the captain, entertainment, and onboarding. I gathered rather quickly that these employees were working long hard hours. I started asking questions and researching and found that the majority of employees work 12 plus hours a day, 7 days a week, with no days off for 8 months straight!

Our cruise was delayed by 2 disappointed days in…

Thought maybe due to fluke in weather and it was new route, surely they’d have it figured out a year later so we took our chances. First issue was seeing itinerary change for the June cruise, still kept hoping, but got email yesterday of change-now only 2 stops in Greenland,(not Nuuk). What is really suspect is that it seems they don’t announce these changes until right after date of final payment and no real reason given. I suspect they had no intention of making these stops and it’s a bait and switch.

Once this credit is used we will probably never sail with them again. They put us on indirect flights which take many more hours than direct flights. Also, they can only book flights with 2 days before and after the cruise departure and arrival. With 200 dollars more, we can buy much better two round-trip flights with more flexibility. What made it even worse was that the air promotion eliminated us from free upgrade of stateroom.

I have 5 months until the sailing and greatly regret booking again with NCL and also recruiting new cruisers to book with them. Their crap defies common decency so look elsewhere and save yourself a headache. Remember to stay proactive and persistent throughout the process. Now that you understand the importance of following up on your complaint, let’s move on to Step 6, where we explore seeking assistance from consumer protection organizations if needed.

This was to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience to this part of the world which we had dreamed of visiting, unfortunately it was - all for the wrong reasons. Cruises can be a fantastic way to relax, unwind, and explore beautiful destinations. However, sometimes issues or concerns may arise during your cruise experience. Whether it’s a problem with accommodations, food quality, service, or any other aspect of your trip, it’s important to know how to file a complaint effectively.

Their involvement may increase the chances of reaching a satisfactory resolution. Once you have gathered all the required information, you are ready to contact Norwegian Cruise Line and communicate your complaint. In the next step, we will discuss the various methods you can use to reach out to the cruise line. A dedicated special needs coordinator is available to assist guests with special needs, such as wheelchairs, seeing-eye dogs, oxygen, etc. Enrich your cruise vacation with up to 6 Free Offers with Norwegian's Free At Sea promotion. Choose from Free Unlimited Open Bar, Free Specialty Dining, Free Airfare for 2nd Guest, Free Shore Excursions, Free WiFi and Free 3rd & 4th Guests.

NCL has become such a low-quality cruise line in the past few years that I will not sail on NCL again. The free-at-sea promotion is a scam, and how they advertise this is deceptive. Shore excursions are more expensive than any other cruise line, and their service is deplorable.

Filing a complaint with Norwegian Cruise Line can be a complex process, but by following these steps, you can increase the likelihood of a successful resolution. Remember, the key to a successful complaint is to be organized, clear, and persistent throughout the process. After gathering all the necessary information, the next step is to contact Norwegian Cruise Line directly to voice your complaint.

A comprehensive Alaska Denali program in only six days, complete with riverboat and railroad experiences as well as a preview of Denali’s incredible wilderness. Hawaii and Alaska in one trip is an unusual pairing, but a reality on the Norwegian Spirit. The ship is quite the international traveler, sailing from departure ports such as Seward, Honolulu, Oahu, and Vancouver, British Columbia. We hope our comprehensive Alaska cruise review has been helpful in planning your own journey. For more in-depth information, don’t forget to check out our detailed articles on each port of call, packing tips, and more.

Our 7-day Norwegian Encore Alaska Cruise

The rest of the morning was mostly consumed with work and some sightseeing from our balcony. After the show, we felt it was only proper to round out our night at the District Brewhouse. If the Sugarcane Mojito Bar is my favorite, this is definitely Don’s favorite. The Brewhouse has one of the largest beer selections on any cruise ship. Thus, we grabbed a final drink and listened to the guitarist and piano vocalist, Ryan. Taking a break around 4 PM, we headed outside to scout out a spot for the sail away.

Cell Service at Cruise Ports in Alaska

And there are plenty of shops with souvenirs and a nauseating amount of jewelry stores at each stop. But if shopping is your thing, you will find plenty of stores to check out. We were pleased to find lots of great restaurants and breweries (our personal favorite) in each town. We were hoping that local seafood would be really affordable, but were a little disappointed to find out it was still very expensive. So while summer offers your best chance for better weather, you should still expect some rainfall and cloudy conditions.

Overall Review Of Our Norwegian Alaska Cruise – Pros and Cons

It’s a quick but thorough process, setting the tone for the organized efficiency that follows. Our 10-day Alaska cruise adventure began at Seattle’s Pier 66, a prime downtown location with easy access and panoramic views of Seattle’s iconic skyline. Norwegian has the newest fleet in Alaska, with unmatched amenities such as 20 dining options, the largest suites available in Alaska, and a world-class spa. Filled with icy fjords that tower over the Pacific Ocean while snowy peaks stretch toward the horizon, Alaska feels boundless.

When you think of a cruise ship, you’re probably thinking of a tropical sunny destination. And well, this ship is certainly designed for a cruise of that nature. Below I will include some of the best excursions offered at each port town. Cruise lines do prefer if you book through them so they can make sure you can safely and punctually get to your excursion and back to the ship.

Review: Is the Norwegian Sun a Good Ship to Cruise Alaska?

The lost city of Atlantis laser tag course is $9.95 for a 10-minute game and is a fun activity for all ages. Once on the train, we took the approximately 2 hour, 27.7 mile scenic ride back to sea level in Skagway. Along the way, we admired the beautiful vistas and other landmarks like the Trial of ’98, the steel bridge, inspiration point, bridal veil falls, and more. Day 4 of this Norwegian Encore Alaska Cruise Review had us calling into Skagway for a full day.

Norwegian Cruise Line has been an innovator in cruising during its 50 years at sea, pioneering Freestyle Cruising - you won't find any fixed dining times here. And on the Norwegian Sun, that journey is packed with amenities and dining options that cater to every taste and preference. In summary, Victoria serves as a fitting finale to an Alaskan cruise, offering a mix of natural wonders and historical landmarks. Whether you’re an adventure seeker or a history buff, this port has something to captivate you. From its natural wonders like Port Frederick and Mud Bay to adrenaline-pumping activities and convenient amenities, this port offers a well-rounded Alaskan experience. But Sitka isn’t just about history; it’s a food lover’s paradise. Downtown is teeming with local food trucks offering mouth-watering crabs, salmon, and more.

For an Alaskan Cruise, the pools were barely touched, but the hot tubs are highly sought after. In the late evening, it was hard to snag a spot because they were often very full with other tourists. If you want to avoid the crowds, go at unique times, such as morning or lunch/early afternoon. For the people outside taking in the scenic views, it got very crowded on the pool deck and deck above along the railings.

The fitness center is free of charge and actually has a nice variety of different machines and weights. Plus each piece of cardio equipment faces out to the beautiful views. For U.S. Citizens on an Alaska Cruise, you may benefit from using your cellular data at port. Many of the cell towers will work for main cell phone carriers without any additional charges. I ran into connection issues many times, especially when trying to log out of my wifi package.

Whichever ship you choose, Alaska and the holiday of a lifetime await. Don’t worry, Norwegian’s Free at Sea has you covered with a free open bar, specialty dining, and even more perks. This offer features a Premium Beverage Package and 2-meal specialty dining package for a 7-day cruise (balcony and above). It is important to note that guests still need to pay the 20% gratuity on these free perks at the time of booking. The ship has some of the most unique itineraries, including a visit to Hawaii, providing for a once in a lifetime vacation.

Keep in mind that not all sailings may see the sale applicable, nor are all offers significantly cheaper than previously posted. Ranging from 25% to 100% of the total cost of your cruise, cancellation fees can easily reach thousands of dollars. Therefore, it’s important to be 100% certain you plan to cruise before you book a last-minute sailing. While the prospect of booking a last-minute, cheap cruise fare may seem tempting, it's not necessarily the best way to find a cheap cruise. In exchange for this ambiguity of room selection, you can often save hundreds of dollars off your cruise fare. SCORE BIG SAVINGS ON

If the exact location of your cabin doesn't matter much to you, then a guarantee room could be your ticket to deep savings. Keep in mind that you may end up with a cabin at the very front or very back of the ship. Those that value convenient cabin location or are sensitive to motion sickness may not want to roll the dice on a guarantee cabin. Guarantee staterooms are when you tell Royal Caribbean the minimum cabin type you want and let the cruise line assign a cabin to you, instead of you picking a specific room. The most common type of repositioning cruises are transalantic and transpacific cruises, where the ship moves between North America and Europe or Australia.

"The startup I launched in my garage has given over 250,000 driverless rides across several cities, with each ride inspiring people with a small taste of the future," he also wrote. The CEO of self-driving car firm Cruise resigned yesterday following an accident in which a Cruise robotaxi dragged a pedestrian 20 feet. California officials accused Cruise of withholding key information and video after the accident, and the company's self-driving operations are on hold while federal authorities investigate.

If he had wanted to create a more transparent project he could have. But the way the public reacts to incidents holds some blame in making such transparency frightening. Even Waymo, which tries to be more transparent than Cruise, has trouble doing it. In a field where there are only two major players, it may not be much to say that “Cruise was the worst at it” but it is nonetheless true.

The move comes in the wake of a serious road incident which led the California DMV to order Cruise’s vehicles off the road and Cruise to voluntarily stop service in other U.S. locations. According to the Times, the company “put a priority on the speed of the program over safety.” In many ways, it echoes Uber’s infamous approach to self-driving cars, which cut corners on safety in order to get more cars on the road. Eventually, an Uber self-driving car killed a woman crossing the street in Arizona, which resulted in the company shuttering the whole division. Most automakers have already dialed back their autonomous ambitions. Last year, Ford and Volkswagen pulled their funding from Argo AI, forcing the company to cease operations.

GM paused production of Cruise’s custom vehicle, known as the Origin, which is key to their strategy. They put a hold on employee stock redemptions, though these have been partially restored. The letter to the DMV from Cruise’s senior counsel which omitted the dragging was disclosed, and more.

Even before the October incident, Cruise and Vogt had faced criticism for an aggressive approach to self-driving technology. First responders in San Francisco said the cars didn’t always react appropriately to the presence of police and fire vehicles. In August, a fire truck responding to an emergency with sirens on collided with a Cruise vehicle in an intersection after the vehicle failed to pull over. In mid-October, Cruise said it had improved its technology’s responses to emergency vehicles. The accident on 2 October proved that driverless technology still has some way to go before it is rolled out more widely. Another car knocked a pedestrian into the path of a Cruise car, which initially stopped before driving another 6 metres (20ft), dragging the pedestrian along and seriously injuring her.

His announcement comes amid upheaval at the company, which last month had its permit to operate its groundbreaking robotaxi service in San Francisco suspended by state regulators. Mary Barra, the General Motors chief executive, promoted Mo Elshenawy, who is executive vice-president of engineering at Cruise, to chief technology officer, after Vogt’s resignation, according to an internal email reported by TechCrunch. Among the management changes announced, Mo Elshenawy, a current executive vice president of engineering at Cruise, will take the role of president and CTO. Craig Glidden, who recently took a role as chief administrator at Cruise, will add president to his titles, putting two men in the role of president. This seems to have been an eventful weekend for CEOs of world-changing AI companies. "Today I resigned from my position as CEO of Cruise," co-founder Kyle Vogt wrote in a post on twitter.com.

Cruise's Kyle Vogt resigns as CEO of the robotaxi company

Vogt’s resignation comes approximately six weeks after a critical October 2 accident in the company’s hometown of San Francisco that left a woman in critical condition for weeks. In that incident, the pedestrian was crossing a San Francisco street when she was hit by a human driver and flung into the path of an oncoming Cruise autonomous vehicle, which dragged her approximately 20 feet. Problems at Cruise could slow the deployment of fully autonomous vehicles that carry passengers without human drivers on board. It also could bring stronger federal regulation of the vehicles, which are carrying passengers in more cities nationwide. "The results of our ongoing reviews will inform additional next steps as we work to build a better Cruise centered around safety, transparency and trust," the company said in a statement.

Kyle Vogt, the serial entrepreneur who co-founded and led Cruise from a startup in a garage through its acquisition and ownership by General Motors, has resigned, according to an email sent to employees Sunday evening that TechCrunch has viewed. “The status quo on our roads sucks, but together we’ve proven there is something far better around the corner,” Vogt wrote in a message to Cruise workers posted on X. Queenie Wong is a state politics reporter covering tech and entertainment policy for the Los Angeles Times. Previously, she wrote about social media companies for CNET and the Mercury News.

Fisker had big dreams to compete with Tesla. What went wrong with this Manhattan Beach company?

Still, General Motors reaffirmed its faith in the Cruise founder in 2021, when GM veteran Dan Ammann left the company. Vogt, then CTO at Cruise, was appointed as interim CEO before permanently taking the role in 2022. The Cruise vehicle then moved "rightward before braking aggressively, but still made contact with the pedestrian," the company said.

Cruise had been testing 300 robotaxis during the day when it could only give rides for free, and 100 robotaxis at night when it was allowed to charge for rides in less congested parts of San Francisco. Vogt earlier said most collisions were caused by inattentive or impaired human drivers, not the AVs. In one serious incident in October, the human driver of another vehicle struck a pedestrian in San Francisco at night, tossing her into the path of a Cruise self-driving car, which then drove over and dragged her.

The state’s Department of Motor Vehicles alleged that the company had failed to disclose that its vehicle attempted to pull out of traffic after the crash, dragging the victim forward about 20 feet. In a separate internal email, also viewed by TechCrunch, GM Chair and CEO Mary Barra announced that Mo Elshenawy, who is executive vice president of engineering at Cruise, will serve as president and CTO for Cruise. Craig Glidden, a Cruise board member and GM’s EVP of legal and policy who was recently put in charge as chief administrative officer at Cruise, will continue in that role. Jon McNeill, a member of GM’s board, has been appointed vice chairman of the Cruise board. McNeill, who joined the Cruise board recently and was previously chief operating officer at Lyft and president of Tesla, will now serve alongside Cruise Board Chair Mary Barra. General Motors has yet to appoint a permanent Chief Safety Officer, though with the help of an independent engineering consulting firm, it continues to conduct an expanded safety probe on the infamous freak accident.

On Sept 30, just a few days before this incident, I happened to write, “A nightmare would be a car hitting and dragging somebody, oblivious. Sensors that see the sides and rear can help, some cars don't have those. A car could also detect unusual acceleration.” This was not the first time I spoke of this, I had previously advised a client of this issue, though not Cruise. (I advised Cruise briefly when it was getting started, but not for compensation or at this level of detail.) As such I consider both dragging, and hiding it, to be on the “this shouldn’t happen, even by bad luck” list.
